Egg roll | Street style egg rolls | Quick and easy egg roll recipe with step-by-step photos. Warps and rolls is one of the most popular street food in India. Rolls are basically spiced vegetables wrapped up in roti/chapati served with sauce or chutneys. There are many variations of rolls. For these egg rolls, a whole wheat flatbread is covered with egg and filled with an interesting vegetable salad.

Egg Rolls

This recipe of egg roll is quite similar to Kolkata egg rolls, a very famous street food of Kolkata. The difference is street style rolls are made using all-purpose flour/maida and I have used whole wheat flour for this recipe. Usually I make these egg rolls whenever I have leftover rotis or I don’t want to make elaborated meals. This can be a quick and easy dinner option. Also, this recipe uses 1 egg per roll but to make it more filling, 2 eggs can also be used.

If you want the same street style taste, use all purpose flour instead of wheat flour. Though rolls made with plain flour are tastier but I choose wheat flour for a healthier option. Also, You can choose the vegetables you like to make the salad. Planning to make it for dinner, I suggest to make rotis ahead of time to reduce total cook time. Do try this easy and delicious egg roll recipe and let me know how do you like it.
