Raita is an Indian side dish made of dahi (yogurt), spices and raw or cooked vegetables or fruits.
Aloo ka raita is a very refreshing side dish made with boiled potatoes, curd and some Indian spices. This super quick and easy to make dish goes well with any Indian meal.
I love adding raitas or koshimbiri to my everyday meal as it enhances the flavor of your meals. When we make any kind of rice like pulao or masala bhat, we need it to accompany with a curd-based side dish. And this aloo ka raita is a great option which you can enjoy with pulao or any kind of rice or parathas.

Ingredients Â
- 2 no. Potatoes, medium size, boiled
- 1 no. Onion, medium size, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup Curd/Yogurt
- 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp Chaat masala
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves, finely chopped
InstructionsÂ
- Take 2 medium size boiled potatoes.
- Peel and cut them into cubes. Keep aside.
- In a mixing bowl, add curd and whisk till smooth.
- Add potato cubes to the curd.
- Then add 1/4 tsp red chili powder, 1/4 tsp cumin powder, 1/4 tsp chat masala and salt. Mix everything well together.
- Lastly, add chopped onion and finely chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and serve with your choise of rice or paratha.
